You get blog posts all week. Why? Because I just remembered that we live under a fascist government now. (Yeah sometimes I forget.)
Things that happen in dictatorships:
1. Children get lost, go unaccounted for, die in government custody.
2. The current regime uses their power to delegitimize the people who previously held power.
3. The government controls human reproduction.
You know the weird thing about dictatorships? The weird thing is there are some people that just live through them, unaffected. Still going to work, making money, selling things, because even in dictatorships people need things, both the dictators and the oppressed. Still gotta eat you know. And might as well pay rent while you’re at it.
Maybe this is what it feels like to slide through a dictatorship unscathed.

Dictatorships start small and stay on a low heat until they lull us into thinking they are normal. It takes a lot of awareness to stay alert and know that no, it isn’t normal what we are going through right now.
